It’s been 4 beautifully uninterrupted and amazing years since I switched to Linux as my daily driver for all my computers. Well almost all my computers. I do have a Mac Mini, but it’s sole purpose is to run my Cricut.
All my other daily computing activities such as video editing, gaming and game streaming, letter writing, bills on spreadsheets, coding and web design, internet surfing and everything else you can think of has been done on Linux. Zero regrets. It’s been nothing short of a pure blast of enjoyment and learning!
No more AI. No more ads. No more big corporate bullshit. No more telemetry or data harvesting from my operating system and other software I choose to use. No more slowing down, my computers run just like they did on day one.
Speed, excellent gaming, security, privacy and a very comfortable environment is what I get now and I don’t ever plan on going back.
I realize that 4 years isn’t a long time, and I’m still a noob, but I’ve learned so much and haven’t had this much fun using a computer in over a decade prior to making the switch.
