My Thoughts on Cricut

New ShirtsLast year I got a Cricut Explorer 3 and a rather nice automatic heat press.  As well as a hat press kit.  I was going to change all my online stores to self made products.  That was 15 months ago.  All I can say is why would anyone use a small Cricut machine to try to mass produce t-shirts?

I find the process to be insanely tedious.  Weeding especially.  Finding vinyl that doesn’t suck or cost a serious amount of money.

Don’t get me wrong, I love making all my own shirts.  But these are one-of things.  For myself or people who’ve I’ve made the mistake of telling them I can make such things.  I’m fairly good making decals if the weeding isn’t terribly tiny bits.  Wasted so my costly vinyl that it hurts to buy more sometimes.

Decals

God bless those who can do this for a living and make money doing it.  I don’t have the time or patients to dedicate towards the monotony of it all.  So for now, I’ll deal with my online shops doing what they do.

Though I will soon make some video game t-shirts 😉
